Linear Position Sensors for Hazardous Environments.

Let Celesco provide linear position measurement solutions for your hazardous area environment. We offer 3 different intrinsically-safe-rated string pots for just about any application. Our linear position sensors provide a 4...20 mA "absolute" feedback signal over a simple two-wire current loop.

When connected to an approved barrier1, our cable extension transducers carry the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) and Cenelec Approvals for intrinsically safe requirements.

Notes:

1 Output signals must connect to an approved zener barrier. See Installation Schematic for details.

2 Zero and span trimpots are easily accessable via removable cover screws. See product datasheet for adjustment range.

3 RBS option is designed to minimize the entrance of dirt and debris into the spool chamber. The VLS option will prevent damage to the measuring cable in the event of "free release" by reducing "retraction" velocity to a safe speed.
